Birmingham Friends of the Earth has been based in the Warehouse, Digbeth, since 1977 and is one of the most active Friends of the Earth local groups in the country. Current campaigns include climate change, waste and recycling, land-use planning, transport and local shops. Campaign meetings are held every Monday evening (excluding Bank Holidays) from 7.30pm at the Warehouse.

Birmingham Airport anti-Noise Group (BANG) was formed in 2001 by Hodge Hill and Castle Bromwich residents with the help of Birmingham Friends of the Earth. The group campaigns against the unsustainable expansion of Birmingham International Airport and lobbies at all levels on behalf of local people affected by aircraft noise pollution and property blight.
